Canada Travel Requirements – June 2023 Alumni Reunion
Visitors to Canada require either (1) a Temporary Resident Visa (‘TRV’) or (2) an Electronic Travel Authorization (‘eTA’) to enter Canada.
Further information on visitor visas, and if you will require one, can be found here.
If you are a citizen of a Commonwealth nation, you will find below a list of the document(s) you will need for entry to Canada.
This is not a difficult process but the processing times and fees can vary by country. You should apply for your Visa or eTA as soon as possible.
Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) – What you will Need
- A valid passport that does not expire for at least 6 months following entry into Canada.
- An itinerary of your stay in Canada (optional depending on which country you are applying from)
- Bank Account Statements (optional depending on which country you’re applying from).
- Passport sized photographs.
The application for a TRV can be completed here.
Note: Some countries may require you to submit an additional supporting document such as a formal invitation. If this is the case, please reach out to us and we will send you a formal invitation letter.
